Its weekend and you all are already high on weekend plans. You have piles and piles of makeup more than you actually need but is it worth keeping? Your wardorbes are full of those costly makeup products but are you using them correctly? The other day when I was reading a random article, I came across an easy everyday makeup routine using products that I already have. It walked me through a step-by-step guide on how to apply them correctly. Let me confess, I thought I had been doing my makeup all right, but I was wrong. Take a look at some slightest tweaks that make huge difference.

STEP 1: FOUNDATION

As I have a combination skin, I always go for creme based foundation. Instead of applying it with hands, the best way is to use a liquid foundation brush. First, use your fingers to dab it in 4 spots on your face. Then blend it with a brush. Brush back and forth on your forehead and chin and brush down and away from the center of your face.

STEP 2: CONCEALER

I had been using Benefit Boi-ing concealer. The product is perfectly smooth but sometimes often felt thick and cakey under my eyes. To get a fine finish, add a drop of moisturizer to your brush before adding the product. Dab it for 4 times beneath your eyes and smoothen it with brush. Use your middle finger to dab it under your eyes for a natural finish.

STEP 3: COMPACT POWDER

Again, I wasn’t known that I had been using the wrong brush to apply powder. The way to apply powder correctly is to use the brush in circular motion to blend it into the skin for a natural look.

STEP 4: BRONZER

Always apply the bronzer with a large fluffy brush, I really owned but never used it. Swirl the brush in the product, tap it to take out the product and start with your cheeks. Sweep the brush up and down from the outer part of your cheek towards inside. Repeat on both the sides and then finish your forehead, chin and neck.

STEP 5: BLUSH

For applying blush correctly, use fluffy yet dense brush. Try new colors like peach, petal pink and red ones. These colors work well with every skin tone. Smile and apply to the apples of your cheeks.

STEP 6: EYES

Start with eye lid and cover it with the eye shadow of your choice. You can use a fluffy eye shadow brush or your index finger. Dab it with a denser shadow brush and work your way up to the crease. Apply liner with an angled brush and a bit of water. As for mascara, dab the wand on a tissue first, then wiggle it at the route of your lashes and sweep up.

STEP 7: LIPS

Last but not least, lips! For everyday you can try really pretty combination of light pink lipstick coral gloss. Just dab the lipstick on your bottom lip and rub your lips together for just a hunt of color. Then add gloss to bring out the color a bit more.

AND YOU’RE DONE!
