Lipsticks play an integral role in women’s day to day life. Not only does it make us look beautiful but also feel beautiful but the way we use to see lipstick has changed so much.
It used to be my favorite item to gift my mother on her Birthdays. Its amazing to see how modernization has evolved a simple product like lipstick in so many ways. Earlier there were hardly any options available apart from Lakme. There was no focus on packaging, odor, texture, etc. All that mattered was the Colour. Fast forward a few years, we have thousands of brands to choose from. Not only that, there are so many criteria that even a simple activity of buying a lipstick has become interesting. The end consumer is so educated, clear with their needs. The marketing technique has evolved so much. The brands don’t just aggressively go around Prime time TV Commercials BUT also, opt for several Paid PR & Influential Marketing.
So, out of all the above mentioned marketing channels, I feel that most of the women fall trap via Influencer Marketing. There are beauty bloggers who create fancy content & trust me, by fancy, I mean super fancy. So much so that people like me feel the urge to collect all the lipsticks because the world might end tomorrow & I might fail to grab one.
Influencer Marketing is actually one big reason behind starting this blog but that’s a story for another day. So, yeah back to lipsticks, over last 1 year, I consciously made an effort to buy decent number of lipsticks from each brand & here are my reviews around them.
P.S: All the lipsticks have been bought from my hard earned money & reviews are HONEST, no exaggerations:
