Jam Tarts

So to start we will start with an easy one. This can be the best choice if you are a complete beginner in cooking. This is more of snacks or a dessert type of dish. This dish takes about an hour to make.

Ingredients

  • 300g plain flour
  • 200g  butter
  • 1egg
  • 1 vanilla pod
  • 100g jam
  • Salt

Preparations

Put the flour, butter, and salt mix it until it becomes a fine batter

After giving it a thorough mix add egg and vanilla pod

Then put a teaspoon of cold water and mix the mixture again

Wrap the batter in a cling film and hang it in the fridge for half an hour

Heat the oven to 200C. Butter a tart tin and put your chilled batter on it

Use a cutter to cut it around the edges and give its shape in circles and put on top a teaspoon or two of the jam

Put it in the oven for 15-20 mins and let I become golden in color

Take it out let it chill for a while

Voila, your jam tarts are ready easily!

Dark chocolate pudding

For our vegetarian friends and chocolate lovers here we have a great dessert. This is also fairly easy to make and require just around half an hour

Ingredients

  • 100g butter
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 100g 70% dark chocolate
  • 2 eggs
  • 100g caster sugar
  • Half teaspoon of malt powder
  • For the cream
  •  100ml double cream
  • 2 tbsp muscovado sugar
  • 1 tbsp malt powder

 To serve

9  Maltesers, crushed into large chunks

1 glace cherries, cut in half

1 tbsp chopped salted pistachios

Preparation

Butter up the ramekins and sprinkle some cocoa powder

Heat the oven up to 200C

Melt the chocolate and butter in a bowl by putting the bowl on a pan with boiling water

Take half of the mixture and put it in the oven for 15 mins for the pudding

And use the next half by mixing it with ramakins and baking them for 14mins till they area like a thick jelly.

For the pudding, it is ready to serve but for the ramakins let it cool down for a while

Mix the cream, sugar, and malt powder

Put the puddings in the plates

Toss some pistachios, cherries, and maltsters and add on some malted cream
